I was expecting somebody to say this, and you was among my candidates ;-)

I know Godfrey. I should have made a backup. In fact I did, but it turned
out not to be complete. I've already slapped myself. 

I'm also going to wet my bed before going to bed. Before that I am going to
listen to some Straus waltzes, over and over again. All this to punish
myself ;-)

I dunno how you can recover the DNG files if they're corrupted. You  
might try loading them with Bridge if you have Photoshop CS2, or ACR  
if you have PS CS2 or PSE 3-5.

But please remember the first rule of software development:
"NEVER trust pre-release software.
  ALWAYS back up all data files before using it."
