I think you have a good handle on it. All I can say about the speed differences is, if you had used a 2.16 Ghz machine for some time, so you were used to it, and moved up to a 2.33 Ghz machine, it's very doubtful you'd notice any speed increase. Or, more likely, if you did you'd be wondering whether whatever you did was REALLY faster than before... You just can't tell without specialized comparison tests. If you need to get that fancy, it won't matter which you get.
