Joe,

TammyV said the information came from a Camera Store Manager, who
claimed it came from a Pentax USA Rep. She has no direct knowledge of
the Pentax USA Rep saying any such thing.

She also said that she trusts the manager. But everyone should just go
and read the post and decide for themselves whether it is credible.

TammyV's is the second post in that thread to report similar
information. But no doubt both store employees made it up. In fact I'm
sure they conspired to do so, to plant it on dpreview, and to have it
reported here. They are probably both cackling right now.

I don't know whether the reports are correct. When independent reports
come from what I assume were two stores, with each report originating
with Pentax USA, it is more credible than a single report. That's all.
Nothing requires anyone to believe it.

I do think the link was more worthwhile posting here than are
discussions of the Swiss navy.

Joe
