I don't think it's like they sit in the warehouse in Japan and suddenly ship the all out at once. If anything, I am sure that Pentax rather want the stock sitting in the importers' warehouse :-). In any case, while we are bickering on this, days pass by fast and it is not too far before we have shiny K10D in our hands :-).
