Was great to see everyone. The market was soo much more interesting than I remember (from 15 years ago - at which time I was probably more than a little drunk!). Saw the guy with all the piercings in his face, but didn't get a good shot alas. Not really my style of photography either - I am an out and out landscape photographer by passion, and really struggled in the melee of the place. Got a few shots which were OK at showing the place, but nothing I would even begin to be proud of. Fascinating place though, and I wont be leaving it so long before I go back. Shame you couldn't record the fabulous food smells as you walked around - I nearly had to have a second lunch!
Sorry that I didn't find any of you at the end, couldn't hang around too long and left about 5:30 - but it sounds like you lot may have already left anyway. I will have a look through my shots tonight but they may or may not get shown! It was a very brief meeting for Alma and I - we arrived late (after an unscheduled diversion on the underground) and had to leave early to pick up our son. It was pleasant seeing everyone. Sorry to Steve from DPReview and our own Rob from Reading - didn't get to say good-bye as we had to dash off while you were in the market somewhere. Camden (locks and market etc) is a very busy place on a weekend with plenty to do and see, but too much for me. I'm a country bumpkin now and the outrageous crowd numbers I found too overwhelming. I think I took about four shots and deleted them all - not a good shooting day. I think I'm entering a more 'focussed' phase where I know exactly what I want to shoot, rather than do the photographic equivalent of pick-pocketing. The company was great though, and nice to see Bob and Godders again, and we met Skye and her husband (I'm crap with names - was it Edward?) and her sister. Alma took lots of shots, including one that I will publish shortly that leaves little to the imagination ;-) Thanks all. -- Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ || (O) | People, Places, Pastiche ||=====| http://www.cottysnaps.com _____________________________ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
