That's the general opinion, amongst most folks who have tried it. You get (stopped-down) Aperture Priority exposure mode simply by mounting the lens+adapter on the body. You lose open-aperture composition through the viewfinder, of course, but that's true of using a screw-mount lens on any K-mount body. In fact I've suggested, rather tongue-in-cheek, that this is the ultimate in backwards compatibility; with a screw-mount lens on my *ist-D I can use it (in manual mode) just like my Spotmatic II.
