My first camera was a little 610 film box camera. I bought it from
Cash Erler's camera store in Chicago for $2 when I was 8 years old.
It took some reasonably good pictures. I've posted one or two here
before. My first good camera was an SP2 Nikon rangefinder with a
35/2.8 that I bought for $75 in 1971. I loaned it to my brother about
five years later, and he lost it in an airport. It's worth at least
$3000 today. (Sigh)
