I am "commuting" back and forth to D.C. this fall, a 2.5 hour flight.
Hassles on both ends between screening/searching of luggage at
departure, long waits for checked baggage on arrival. So I have tried
to minimize my to-and-from load. (Partially by stashing one suitcase
with most of my clothes in the hotel here over the weekends when I go
home.) This time up here I "needed" to bring some photogear as I am
taking a side trip to North Carolina this weekend for a wedding. And I
really really tried to stay minimalist.

Final minimal solution:
*ist-D
DA 16-45
DA 50-200
FA 77 Ltd

For this occasion, if I had to go with just one, I would have chosen
the 16-45. Once I decided to bring a 2nd lens, it was just as easy to
bring the 3rd.
