Runs over the mountain from NC-105 to US-221 and along the top of the ridge that shows as the grandfather profile from 105 there is a connecting spur to the swinging bridge area. BTW, according to Hugh Morton there are several rocks on the mountain that also are claimed to be the source of the name. That came up when I asked him about an illustration in an old book published about 1910.
