To each his own but I think the loss of auto-aperture With SMCT lenses is bad or any Pentax K or Canon EOS Body.. What I was talking about was a DSLR with direct M42 mount and auto aperture ( but no open apeture AE). Many of the M42 lenses (even Pentax) are incapable of Open aperture AE anyway but DO have auto aperture functions ( like the supertakumars ). jco
