To each his own but I think the loss of auto-aperture
With SMCT lenses is bad or any Pentax K or Canon EOS
Body.. What I was talking about was a DSLR with direct
M42 mount and auto aperture ( but no open apeture AE).
Many of the M42 lenses (even Pentax) are incapable of 
Open aperture AE anyway but DO have auto aperture functions
( like the supertakumars ).

I would be, given the fact that there are two very good options for M42 
users going digital (Canon and Pentax), including full-frame bodies. The

only addition necessary for full M42 support would be the flip-plate for

full-aperture viewing and that's not a big loss. (there are far too many

different implementations of full-aperture metering on M42 lenses for 
one to be justifiable to support).
