I do lightly toned monochrome prints on my R800. I really like the quality I get on glossy paper--great resolution and crispness, deep blacks, no weird color shifts visible to my eye, and output consistent with what I see on screen (I use Photoshop CS2 and calibrate my monitor with a Spider2PRO).
I would like the additional size of the R1800, but I don't want it badly enough to spend the $$$.
