I second that. I am on my third bracket. The first I had was a flip for 35mm. Worked reasonably well. Only thing I didn't like about it was that the camera felt upside down because I shoot left eyed and the flip wanted me to go the other way - but workable.
Then I started shooting 67's and AF400T potato mashers - needed a bigger bracket that would work with that rig. After trying some stuff I ended up with a Press T bracket. This was a flip also, but much sturdier when flipping the bigger flash system. When I got the *istD, I couldn't get a comfortable holding grip on the camera and bracket (the base was too big on the bracket) when holding the camera vertical. After trying a bunch of things, I ended up getting the Pro RL (rotary Link) Stroboframe. It fit the camera nicely and handled both shoe mount and big flashes. I like it much better than the flip version, because the camera quickly rotates and the flash just stays in place. The reason I bring this up is because it really took me going into the store and trying my camera flash on the brackets to arrive at something that worked well for me. You can read about them, but until you actually try them, you could end up with something less than ideal for your needs. -- Best regards, Bruce Wednesday, October 11, 2006, 1:51:52 PM, you wrote: >>I see the point you're all making but don't you find that fiddling >> with the bracket every time you change orientation a bit tiresome ?
