Canon/Minolta TOTALLY DIFFERENT situation. They IMPROVED their mounts which caused Incompatabity with their old ones. Pentax Has NOT improved their mounts one bit. It's exactly the reverse, they have crippled the Old lenses on purpose with ZERO improvement In the mount. ( there is no new lens mount ). jco

Lots of Canon users felt that way, but Canon is doing really well. Nikon has had spotty support for 35 or so years as well, but they seem to be fine. When was the last MD mount Minolta produced? Do you think Sony should start making MD bodies to support the fine legacy that they bought into? I have heard of Leica SLR users having lens compatability problems from one SLR series to another, but I'm really vague on the details. Your position is pretty preposterous, because the language that you use leads one to believe that you think the lenses in question can't be used anymore at all.
