That's exactly how I feel. I would rather invest in a few real nice 
lenses a year than the latest and greatest camera and some kit lenses 
just to stay current. Now if I was making a living on photography that 
might be different, but I am not and i don't think many people here are 
either. However, I like what Pentax is doing with their latest batch of 
cameras...
