Enlargement limits are not just a question of PIXELS, but also of the sharpness of the lens/image. A not very sharp image should perhaps not even be enlarged to A4. The Circle of Confusion is a player as well. The better lens the larger the prints. Using a mediocre zoom lens on a K10D will not produce very sharp images for large prints :-) Regards

A little larger than A4 (24x30 cm). That's it, folks. But then you can up-rez, naturally, which doesn't realy improve the quality, even though you get more pixels. For large prints 100 or 150 ppi is enough, if the image is viewed at a larger distance. In this case I'd say up to 95 x 65 cm (38x26 inches). That's actually a small poster. A1 (60x84 cm) will sometimes be OK (115 ppi), but 24x30 is close to perfect (300 ppi).
