-- Best regards, Bruce ======== Depends on the picture, for me. And I know my monitor is not as good as some, although I try to calibrate it about every 6 months or sooner. Probably need to calibrate it again. I do have a Spyder, but truthfully I have to dull the monitor down after doing it, it leaves it too bright for my eyes. I don't like the whites to bang out at me since most Windows writing is now black on white. If it is left on too strong I find it hard to read and write. OTOH, color is important to me so I like it to be fairly accurate. Accurate as to the way the scene looked to the eye at the time. And my taste has changed over time, because once I liked Velvia and now it often looks too saturated to me. But I guess I could generalize that the simpler the scene then the stronger the color can be and I will like it. The more "messy" or complex the scene, then I seem to like the color more subtle. But, yes, a lot is personal preference. Marine AKA Doe -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
