I of course undersstand all that :-).
But don't forget my initial point was shotting jpeg which is
essentially an irreversible compression vs shooting RAW which leave
everyting for the later post processing.
I do not shoot everything in RAW and I do not like to post process
everything I shoot.
Alos, I like to print which I used to do with film. I do not know how
much percent of the shots you guys print, but in my case, unless
family demand to see it in porint, I usually print very little.  In
fact, all I print used to be those shot in RAW.
But that's besides the point.
I was hoping you understood my point of shooting jpeg vs RAW stemmed
from the in-camera RAW. Too much attention to my analogy to the film
shooting.  In any case, it's not important as to argue about this.
