The statement in the specs is 3fps for JPEG images until the SD card is full. The 500 exposure charge life is presuming approximately 50% flash usage. If my experience with other such ratings is any guide, this will be 1000-1200 exposures with no flash. I average 1100-1200 exposures per set of CRV3 or AA Lithium disposables with no flash, using the DS. So as far as I'm concerned, the performance is about the same.
Now, how often are you going to lock your shutter release on continuous and fill 2G cards? Unless you're shooting low frame rate movies .... ;-) Godfrey On Sep 30, 2006, at 2:43 AM, Peter Fairweather wrote: > Pentax claim that the new camera will work at 3 FPS until the SD card > (size unspecified) is full. Sooner have that than 3 FPS and a dead battery. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
