Wont the higher 10MP resolution vs 6MP in the D compensate for the high
ISO noise reduction losses?

Subject: Noise Performance

Dpreview's review of the Nikon D80 is up:

http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikond80/

To my eyes, the aggressive noise reduction produces noticeable image
softness compared with the other models. From ISO 800 up, the images are

(to me) unacceptably soft.

I continue to be concerned that the K10D will not be very useable above
ISO 400. I have been spoiled in this regard by my D, with which I often
shoot at ISO 800 and 1600 with satisfactory results.
