It's obviously not the case. Witness the new fast DA zooms. We're going to see a lot more than consumer lenses from Pentax. I think a fast 50 will eventually make the lineup, although for now Pentax probably figures they have that niche pretty well covered with the DA 40.2.8 and the FA 50/1.4.
