Having something be backordered is always going to PMO. At the very least I would search for another retailer. In the case of current Pentax owners, if product is unavailable the likelihood is that they'll simply have to wait. In the case of someone who is making a first-time or gift purchase, not having product available may simply mean they choose a competitor.
