Dear All, Maybe someone's sent this in already (I get digests), but it appears the K10D has arrived:

We now have four 10 MP SLRs for $999 with kit lens: Pentax K10D Nikon D80 Sony A100 Canon 400D/Rebel XTi The K10D meets or beats the other three on EVERY SINGLE point! It has the big viewfinder of the D80, the anti-shake of the A100, the anti-dust of the 400D, not to mention (probably) better build quality, weather-sealing, and so on. It even meets or beats the Canon 30D and Nikon D200 on every spec except fps (though some will make a big deal of their all-metal bodies). The 30D looks particularly dire now! Unless you need a 24x36mm sensor or very high speed, the K10D offers the most complete feature set of any D-SLR ever made! It even looks like it might (?) shoot in native DNG format! I'm left waiting for the other shoe to drop - on paper this thing simply looks too good to be true! Unless there is a fatal flaw with this (e.g. IQ problems) which I find unlikely, I WILL be buying one of these. If it lives up to its specs, it will be quite simply the D-SLR I have been waiting for, at a price I never dreamed of! My Canon kit is going up for sale very soon!
