Check the wattage requirement for your charger. Buy a 12V inverter that can handle about 20% more than that. For most battery chargers, this means around about US$20. A spare third party charger is typically another US$20. > I have had an MX and 2 LXs fail on my in the field, so I don't really > trust cameras that much.... Unfortunate. Despite being carried in a rucksack through airports and cross country, or strapped to the back of a motorcycle for thousands of miles, I never had a camera pack up on me, ever. > Personally, I would not rely on shipping out a spare anything. ... Where I normally travel, shipping is easy. 24-48 hour service from home to there. I've done it several times, and it isn't really very expensive either. I always have power available where I sleep; I don't camp. Godfrey -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
