I've had the CompactDrive PD70X version of this unit fitted with an 80GB drive for well over a year now, I also had it's previous version. I travelled with it late last year for over seven weeks and used it as my primary storage accumulating about 69GB of RAW files. I also took a laptop and made back-ups to optical media but I only edited on return.
