The shot, as it's presented, seems to be open to a lot of possibilities compositionally. I like what the photographer chose in that it appears evenly balanced vertically. I agree that the bottom third could be cropped, but does he have more sky to play with? If not, then losing the bottom third may be a mistake. As far as left or right go, I enjoy seeing things in the middle sometimes.
