Whether they're easier to make I can't answer. The 2006 series as presented is technically superior, but I think you could reprocess the 2005 shots and improve them so that they are of equal quality in rendering. I suspect your skill in rendering, and possibly better original captures as well, are what make the difference. Neat series, all three of them. There are several out of each set that are very good.
