Bill,

For what it's worth, I had this lens for a brief
period last year and found it to be an OK lens. The
build quality was pretty good, the optics were good
but not great. Still, for a carry around lens it's
very versatile. I decided to sell it, but then, I do
that with most of my zooms since I'm such a prime guy.
