Like any system the weakest link is the element that throttles
performance but in the case of all Current Pentax DSLRs it's the
sensor read speed. Referring to the sensor specs it's running near
enough to flat out in most instances, the ADC they are using is fast
enough, the differences between models lie in the buffer depth, post
processing speed and storage rates.
