To be frank, Peter, your "modest first bids" may be about all you can  
expect for the Vivitar and the macro (I say this having paid around 40  
pounds each in the UK for the Komine Vivitars and for an A version of the  
macro), and probably more than you can expect for the old 85-210, which is  
massive by today's standards.

As for the FA, I couldn't say.  However, most Ebay sellers prefer to set  
low opening bids and that way encourage bidders.

But, you seem to be on a lucky streak at the moment, so who can say what  
will happen.  Good luck.
