Don't worry, the Leica M8 needs no battery. All it needs is an (optional) Leicavit-type of power supply, so that you have to keep triggering all the time while shooting/playing pictures. As an excellent alternative, you can buy a special M8 bike-type dynamo, called the Knarf. Great for shooting while cycling.
