It's just my gut feeling, nothing scientific. But I'm of the opinion that optically my FA28-105mm f4-5.6 PZ & FA80-200 f2.8 outperform my DA16-45 f4 & DA10-17 f3.5-4.5. Probably because when using the FA's on digital your taking advantage of the lens sweet spot. With the reduced image circle of the DA's the sweet spot has shrunk with it.
