Frankly, I think it has nothing to do with Pentax as a company being loyal to it's customers. They were/are betting on the existing lens investment to attract buyers. And correctly so. If they could get away with an act that made them appear blatently disloyal and still keep their customers while making a boatload of money, don't think they wouldn't hesitate.
I consider them disloyal because of not marketing a full frame DLSR. So there. In reality I don't think it's a matter of loyalty or disloyalty at all. Pentax and all companies will do what is best for themselves. Sometimes, by the very nature of the business of buying and selling, it happens to overlap with what is good for their customers. Tom C.
