The Panasonic DMC-L1 allows use of an aperture ring to set aperture (on lenses so equipped), but the aperture ring is entirely virtual, it's not a mechanical aperture ring, just an electronic control on the lens (just like the focus ring on all Oly and Leica 4/3rds lenses)
