They use the stuff for more than shooting folk singers. That big lens 
and fast body will also find it's way onto the sidelines at a football 
game, where it will be an advantage, no matter what the end use.
Newspapers do sell photos that they publish, BTW, so the end use of the 
image may not be the entertainment section.
