According to tests, all the Pentax bodies have poor noise performance, but the comparison is against bodies like the 200D and D50 which are essentially noise-free below 1600 and extremely clean at 1600+, not film which is grainier than any reasonably current 1.5x sensor camera at a given ISO. In the real world, they're good but not stellar.
