I tend to shoot, so far, my IR shots with the R72 fillter, at somewere around
F 4 and shutter of 1/30 or 1/20.
This gives me a histo with mostly midrange pixels, say from 50/60 to 180 plus
or minus. If
i try and get a
good mountain histo 0 to 240 or as close as possible, the shot looks horribly
over
exposed. This would
be in the F4 and 1/4 second range.
What should i be looking for here. I seem to have ~some~ decent results with
method 1, and
my GFM
photo was using these values.
Is it because the filter is cutting out a large amount of the visible lihght
that i'm
getting the mid range
mountain as aposed to the overall mountain histo. Is the midrange histo giving
me the
proper exposure,
even though it looks wrong as in normal colour shots.
Just trying to fiqure this stuff out, 1 step at a time
