I can imagine. I recall shooting a BALLS rocketry meet on the Black Rock Playa in Nevada in 1998 when temperatures in the sun hit 120 degrees F. My Nikon FM was too hot to hold without a thin pair of cotton gloves on after about 5 minutes ... I kept it in a cooler most of the time so as not to cook the film.
