I have a friend who took up painting - she said, hoping I'd be pleased, that she was doing a painting of "franny" her sister's cat that I photoed and is here: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2908075 Fortunately, when I saw the painting I was relieved -- she had used the photo as a very loose guide for her intentionally garishly colored impressionistic cat - almsot any cat in the same pose would have done... it was bright purple on a green background and very sketchy. phew!
