Cute shot! You're right about changing societal attitudes WRT photographing children (other than your own). I've gotten to the point that I rarely do it anymore - I get the dirtiest looks, and I had at least one mother grab her child, cover his face with her hand, and scream "no pictures" at me. I of course immediately consented and took my camera away from my face, apologizing, trying to explain that I had no nefarious intent, but I don't think she was buying it.
