You have to put your personal feelings aside.
We expressed concern for a friend who's country was going to war.
(And John, war is a descriptive term not a political statement.)

We expressed concern for you and your wife when you described the sand
company from hell, operating on your doorstep.  Why should we respond
to this thread differently?
