Just came back from a folk music festival, Førde internasjonale følkemusikkfestival. Four days of wonderful music. I'm there as "press", so I'm usually at front row :-) I am exhausted, after travelling between work and the festival.

Its a pain in the ..., but its well worth the effort I'd say. This shot is from a Fado concert with a young and very talented Fadista (fado singer) Joana Amendoeira. Some of you may be familiar with fado music. The style is about 100 years old, and it's from Lisboa. The lyrics are very poetic, and the music is "silent music". It is about love and longing for the beloved. I don't understand a word of the lyrics, but it appeals a lot to me.
