My experiences with Velvia have never been
good. Since the only thing I was doing with slides was to scan them,
I was never able to get satisfactory scans from the Velvia. Either it
was too dense for my scanner, or I had minor color problems - kind of
like I'm seeing here.

I have a tree I took with Velvia that I love. Except the sky came out
(scanned) way too purple (it was taken late day, but still...) It made me
switch to
Provia, because it scanned better -- more realistically. The only way I toned
down the purple was to basically change all the hues slightly in the photo.

If you keep scanning you may want to drop Velvia (and I am ones of the ones
who actually LIKED it :-)).
