Hi Bob,

I agree about the lighting.  Nothing that can be done about it other than
to photograph the scene at a different time of year and later in the day.

That there's not "enough" of Linda in the photo is also a part of who Linda
is.  Were there lots of memorabilia around, knick-nacks, and the like, that
wouldn't be who she is.  Her environment is rather clean and simple.

It's a little odd hearing that comment from you in light of a discussion we
had some time back about Nachtwey's office and working space, which we saw
in War Photographer.  There was nothing that we saw to show anything of his
travels or exploits - it was very sparse - yet I recall that we agreed it
showed something of his character and perhaps even his work habits and
preferences, perhaps a need for him not to have reminders of the horrors
he'd seen, and to be able to work without distractions.

What you suggest of this photo is that it show more of Linda than she is,
or something that she's not.  I do appreciate your comments and insight,
however, and will certainly keep them in mind for similar work I do in the
future.
