Jack, Yes, the three pictures were machine gun fashion, one press of the shutter. It was the first time I had used the continuous mode. I was impressed at the time because of all the chatter on the list about the *Ds having a slow frame rate/small buffer size. It was more than satisfactory in this case.
I've used the Motor A (3.5 fps) on the Super Program (extensively), and ME2 and LX winders along with the LX motor drive. The *Ds won't keep up with the LX motor drive's 5 fps but is close to the Motor A and comparable with the winders 2 fps. The funny thing is this. If you are used to film shooting, you cringe at machine gunning a subject. 36 frames isn't very many before you need to reload. You shoot short bursts, maybe 3-4 frames in a row. After these photos, I can remember testing the *Ds that day. I got 8 jpegs of continuous shooting before I heard the camera slow down. 8 shots in a row seems like an eternity. It was hard to keep my finger pressed down that long. Thanks for the comments, Bob S. On 7/3/06, Jack Davis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Bob, > Some really nice shots!
