That's the beauty of raw.  Just looked at the raw image and there is
detail to be had in the feathers.  The real trick here is that this is
a white bird standing in the sun.  A marshmallow has detail too, but
the scene has a remarkably wide latitude.  Not perfect conditions here
in sunny California - even though this is shot around 7am in the
morning.  Bringing the bird down very far could make him look somewhat
gray and shabby.  He is a bright, white bird in a sunny environment.

When I get a minute, along with cropping position, I shall see about
bringing down the white just a bit.
