I took prices directly from B&H Photo.

The A50/2 is definitely an economy offering. I didn't like its  
sharpness at all much under f/5.6.

Some folks seem to like it a lot. A series only, and probably out of  
production although they do seem to continue to show up.

No experience with any except the Heliar 15mm in Leica Thread Mount,  
which was remarkably good for the money.
