Marnie, thanks for looking & commenting.

I would never go on a photo workshop or tour without being very familiar 
with the leader's work/ethics,
& his knowledge of the particular area where the workshop is being held.

My experience regarding workshop cost is that most are in the same ballpark 
for the same length of time, ie Lepp/Shaw/Planck etc.

In any event, I try to combine the workshops with vacations - it helps me 
rationalize the cost.

If you're thinking of a workshop, you really should take one for the 
experience. I learn something everytime I attend one.

P S - I'm always the only one shooting Pentax on the workshops I've 
attended.
