I'm sure he was. Pentax "normal DA" lens on a DS, DL, etc is the DA18-55 ... and it does look pretty similar to the DA10-17 other than for the front element : http://homepage.mac.com/godders/pentax-18_55vs10_17.jpg Where the "30mm" came from is likely just a mistake. It is, after all, Popular Photography ...
