Hi, on several of the black & white pictures I have taken recently the illumination is uneven across the frame - part of the left side is significantly lighter than the rest of the frame. Here are some examples which show this:

I have looked at the negatives and it is evident on them, so it is not a scanning problem. Other frames on the same film are ok, so it doesn't appear to be a development problem. Others taken with the same camera are ok, so evidently it is not a camera problem. This seems to suggest it is a problem with the lens, or perhaps the lens in combination with the camera. I can't remember which lens I used for each picture, but a bit of experimentation should establish it, if I'm correct. Can anybody suggest what could be the cause of this problem? Once I've established which component is at fault I'll get it serviced, but if anybody has any ideas about what causes this sort of thing it would help me when I describe the problem and shoot examples for the repair technician.
