I agree -- great lenses can be had cheap, with some research. Especially older Pentax non-zooms, which are almost all great performers.
I played with the newer 40mm pancake, the Limited one, a couple of weeks ago. Wonderfully built, small as anything, strong images. If I were headed somewhere and wanted a pocketable rig, it would surely fit the bill, but it's a little slow for my liking for a "normal" lens. That focus-clutch mechanism, whatever it's called, is really great. I will be looking closely at new lenses that feature it. -Aaron -----Original Message----- From: "Don Sanderson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subj: RE: The beauty of narrow DOF Date: Fri Jun 23, 2006 9:04 pm Size: 839 bytes To: "Pentax-Discuss Mail List" <[email protected]> Don't get to carried away with your wallet Roman. The K28/3.5 and the K35/3.5 are two of my very favorites. Both were purchased for under $50.00 each. The "cheapie" M50/1.7 is another. When I feel I've earned it, by improving my composition and timing, I'll treat myself to a 77Ltd. Something to look forward to! ;-) Don > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of > Roman > Sent: Friday, June 23, 2006 1:57 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: The beauty of narrow DOF > > > I need better lenses, that I can say. > > Peace, > > -- > home <http://roman.blakout.net/> > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > [email protected] > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
